Software Developer

Stoneburn is a premier Google Enterprise Sales and Deployment Partner and Amazon Web Services Solution Provider. Following a very successful 2011, Stoneburn is actively looking to bring new talent into our team as we continue to expand and win new projects with some of the UK’s largest and best known companies.

Our Software Developers are responsible for design and implementation of software solutions using a range of technologies including Java, JavaScript (jQuery) and XML integrating with Google Search Appliance, Google Maps, Google Apps, Google App Engine and Amazon Web Services.

Our ideal candidate has a UK degree in computer science and at least three years development/software engineering experience. They may have worked in a consulting/systems integration organisation in a client facing role, and will have a proven ability to learn new cloud based technologies. They will be ambitious team players, keen to work in a high-performing organisation and with a desire to progressing their career into technical lead/solution architect or project manager role.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing REST based cloud solutions.
  • Experience with basic web programming (HTML/CSS/JavaScript/XSLT) and experience with using AppEngine and AWS.
  • Understanding of relevant network standards, such as HTTP(S) and DNS.
  • Experience with Enterprise Search, XML, REST, OpenSource API’s, Linux.
  • Experience with Active Directory & LDAP.
  • Familiarity with basic system administration and scriptingin a Linux environment.

Google Apps Deployment Consultant

Stoneburn is a premier Google Enterprise Sales and Deployment Partner and Amazon Web Services Solution Provider. Following a very successful 2011, Stoneburn is actively looking to bring new talent into our Deployment team as we continue to expand and win new projects with some of the UK’s largest and best known companies.

Our Google Apps consultants are responsible for technical implementation in migrations from legacy e-mail servers to Google Apps, and should be comfortable providing delivery (configuration, deployment, support) and technical training.

Our ideal candidate has a UK degree in computer science and have one year of Google Apps experience, or  a proven ability to learn new cloud based technologies. They will have worked in a consulting/systems integration organisation in a client facing role. They will be ambitious team players, keen to work in a high-performing organisation and with a desire to progressing their career into technical lead/solution architect or project manager role. They should have a desire to work on large scale messaging and collaboration transformation projects.

  • Proactively identify customer problems and develop creative solutions to maximise the adoption of Google Apps and Postini in organisations.
  • Develop and implement processes and infrastructure to scale customer-facing operations.

  • You will have the ability to work in a structured manner and have very good documentation skills.

Minimum qualifications

  • At least three years work experience either as a consultant to, or employee of, enterprise organisations (i.e. greater than 2,000 employees)
  • UK computer science degree or equivalent
  • One year Google Apps delivery or support experience in a technical capacity or
    Desire and proven ability to develop your career as a Google Apps deployment specialist.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Google Apps Certified Deployment Specialist certification
  • Hands-on experience implementing, troubleshooting, and supporting Internet application servers (e-mail, DNS, firewall, web, networking gear).
  • Experience with basic web programming (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) and experience with using Google Sites
  • Understanding of relevant network standards, such as SMTP, HTTP and DNS.
  • Experience with message security, spam/virus/IM filtering, message archiving, and TLS.
  • Experience with either Microsoft Exchange or Lotus Domino
  • Familiarity with system administration and scripting, with an understanding of basic network and Windows/Linux server administration.

Sales Executive – Enterprise Search and Cloud Computing

As a leading implementer of Google Search and cloud computing, we deliver advisory and technical services to medium and large businesses and government agencies. We work with a number of key technology partners to assist organisations in developing business cases, evaluating options, implementing solutions to reduce IT costs and provide business innovation.  Our current customers include multi-national telcos, media companies and UK banks.

The focus of the sales role will be the acquisition of new customers. The main role will be to develop and close sales of the Google Search Appliance solution with a potential to be involved with the Google collaboration and cloud platform. You will develop new prospects and follow up on marketing and sales leads in order to deliver on quarterly quotas and achieve sales objectives for the business. It is a cross-industry role, requiring a broad set of capabilities to deal with stakeholders within the customer base and with Google to develop this market.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve quarterly sales quotas and generate and qualify all leads and sales opportunities, both direct and indirect through partners
  • Make outbound calls to targeted customers and respond to inbound inquiries from marketing and lead generation programs
  • Serve as the primary customer contact during bid submission, pilot test, legal review, and procurement.
  • Keep thorough records of customer interactions and provide quarterly sales projections on a weekly basis.

Requirements:

  • Degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Proven track record of selling enterprise solutions in the mid  and enterprise market
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed quotas
  • Ability to work independently, but within a team environment
  • Confident, competitive, thorough and tenacious attitude with a capacity to work independently and with limited supervision
  • A thorough understanding of the role of technology partners in identifying opportunities, closing business and successfully deploying projects

The successful candidate will be provided with Google product and sales training, and will report directly to the CEO.

Postini/Google Apps Support Administrator

As a premier Google Enterprise Partner and Amazon Web Services Solution Provider, we are a specialist in cloud solutions, actively looking to bring new talent into our support team as we continue to expand and win new projects.

Our ideal candidate will have a UK degree in computer science and have one year of IT (server-side) support background, looking to move into or progress their career in public cloud solutions. They will have an eye to eventually joining our deployment team and working on large scale transformation projects.

Your initial role will be providing technical support for a range of solutions, such as Google Apps and Postini/Google Message Security, helping customer IT teams or end users, as well as managing vendor escalations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding email and phone support and account management to Google Apps and Postini users worldwide.
  • Identify and escalate bug reports, proactively identify customer problems and develop creative solutions to maximise the adoption of Google Apps and Postini in organisations.
  • Monitor customer feedback and drive programs to improve client satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement processes and infrastructure to scale customer-facing operations.
  • You will be able to work in a dynamic environment and have excellent problem solving skills.
  • Your customer-facing and communication skills, written and verbal, must be excellent.
  • You will have the ability to work in a structured manner and have very good documentation skills.
  • You will be able to work within a small team but also be confident enough to work alone.
  • You will be able to take ownership of the management through to closure all on all Google/Postini issues logged with Helpdesk.
  • You must be willing to be on an after-hours on-call rota
